Dance Journey! Soundharya Sridharan is an Indian Classical Bharatanatyam Dancer and has been associated with the art form for 20 + years. Her passion for Abinaya (facial expressions) and dance movements set her up to train in Pandanallur Style under Smt. Malarkodi Vijayaraghavan and Vazhuvoor Style under Kalaimamani Smt. Srekala Bharath and Smt. G. Sujatha. Soundharya did her first solo performance ie Arangetram in the year 2004 under Smt. G. Sujatha in Chennai. In the very same year, She was awarded the Natya Kala Ratna by the South India Social and Cultural academy. Dance Journey! As a senior student of the Niruthya Niketan School Of Dance, Soundharya had the opportunity to teach the art to other students at a very young age. The genuine enjoyment of forming the choreography and the process of sharing the art with various peers motivated her to start private dance classes and workshops in India in 2011. Towards the end of 2015, she had around 60 students under her guidance after which she moved to the Bay area in California. In the Bay Area, she continued to pursue her dance journey under Smt. Shreelata Suresh. She also participated in few workshops under few eminent names such as Smt. Indira Kadambi, Raja Master.
